For the past few weeks, residents in Cordova have been on edge because someone was killing their pets.
A coyote, or Wylie as some Cordova residents are calling it, is accused of killing at least one cat, but might be responsible for other deaths.
One homeowner said the coyote even tried to attack his dog.
However, Wylie's crime spree came to an end when resident Mark Mayall called APEX animal control.
"My wife had told me she had seen a wolf and I thought she's gotta be crazy, there's no wolf running around here," said Mayall.
Even though Wylie is a suspected killer, animal control officers said they will take him out to a wildlife preserve and set him free.
