(WMC-TV) – The Shelby County Office of Preparedness will be offering free classes to all county residents on the methods and procedures to survive common emergency situations.
Participants will take Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) classes. The classes consist of two-day sessions and will provide participants with life-saving information through hands-on exercises, lectures and videos. Every common emergency, from first-aid skills to how to spot terrorism will be discusses in the classes, and students will learn how to assist their families and neighbors in the event of a catastrophic natural or manmade disaster.
