MLGW construction to close portion of I-40 | Transportation

(WMC-TV) – Some early morning commuters will have to pick a new route on Friday as crews shut down lanes on Interstate 40 and Appling Road.

MLGW workers will close several lanes at the intersection’s overpass as part of a construction project.

The work is scheduled to run from 12:01 a.m. until 6 a.m. Friday.

Crews will initially close the westbound lanes and once they’re reopened, work will begin on the eastbound lanes.
