Last minute shoppers flock to retailers

Last minute shoppers flock to retailers

Retailers are trying to attract last-minute holiday shoppers with price cuts and deals this final weekend before Christmas.

Shoppers flocked to stores across the Mid-South.

Some stores are offering up to 60 percent off select items this weekend.

One Carroll County, Mississippi shopper drove 170 miles to get in on Macy's 48-hours sale at Oak Court Mall.

"Parking is number one, the long lines at the checkout counter, but everybody's been pleasant. No pushing and shoving. I really haven't encountered any obstacle. I'm glad the sun is shining and it's warm," said shopper Judy Maienelli.

Memphis Police put out their Blue Crush eye in the sky to make sure shoppers feel safe in the countdown to Christmas.
