Pet of the Week: Meet Brooke in her holiday best | Pets

Brooke visited the Action News 5 studio Friday modeling her best elf costume.

She is a female calico cat, and Memphis Humane Society PR specialist Katie Pemberton believes she is a Siamese domestic shorthair mix.  

According to Pemberton, she is extremely calm as most cats would not sit still in an elf costume and then rest on someone's shoulders.

Brooke came from a hoarding case around October along with 11 other cats from the same case.

Brooke had to be socialized since being rescued, now she loves to be held.

As an older cat, it takes a short time for her to adjust to a new setting but she is less likely to damage or scratch things in the house.

Since she is from a hoarding case, Brooke is still learning how to jump up on counters or couches.
