Pet of the Week: A pit bull mix in a holiday vest | Pets

Flicka came to visit the Action News 5 studio Friday in her holiday vest because she wants to be home for the holidays.

This 2-year-old pit bull mix or, as Memphis Humane Society PR specialist Katie Pemberton says, she is a classic Memphis mutt.

Flicka was found in Raleigh emaciated, covered in fleas and living on the streets, now she is a healthy weight at 50 pounds and barely fitting into her vest.

Pemberton says Flicka loves to play and is great with other dogs when introduced properly.
