Cordova rape suspect to face judge | News
MEMPHIS, TN- (WMC-TV) - A man charged in one Cordova rape and suspected in more will face a judge Thursday.
Forty-one-year-old Anthony Alliano has not been able to post his $250,000 bond since his arrest earlier this month.
Alliano is charged with aggravated rape, robbery, and burglary in connection with one incident, but police believe he has been raping women in Cordova since 2003.
The break in the case came when a Cordova woman who was raped in 2010 identified Alliano in a lineup after police caught him on surveillance using her stolen credit card.
The last time Alliano was in court, he was ordered to submit to a blood test. Investigators are now analyzing the test to determine whether there's a connection between him and as many as six other rapes.
