Local church offers vacation bible school for children | Events

(WMC-TV) - If you have kids looking for something to do this summer, one local church will be hosting an event that will keep the children busy for five days. First Assembly of God is preparing for this year’s vacation bible school.

Jason Sensat, Children’s Pastor at First Assembly said, “The world throws at our kids so many false way of achieving what they think they are looking for, but Sonrise National Park VBS is all about the truth."

Children will have the opportunity to participate in crafts, games, praise and worship, and will involve a presentation of the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. There will also be snacks.

“Our kids will learn about true peace, true riches, true power, true hope, and true love, and have so much fun doing it,” said Sensat.

Vacation Bible school will start on July 23 and last through the 27, from 9 a.m. to noon each day. This event is free and is for children age 4 through the 6th grade

There will be prizes for the boy and the girl who brings the most visitors, and an offering contest to support Boys and Girls Missions Crusade.

The church is located at 8650 Walnut Grove in Cordova.
