Coleman’s sentencing delayed

Convicted killer Harry Coleman will have to wait a little longer to find out how long he’ll spend behind bars.

Coleman was supposed to be sentenced Thursday for shooting Robert Schwerin to death in the Trinity Commons parking lot last year. However, the sentencing was delayed after Coleman’s attorneys submitted a doctor’s evaluation of their client and prosecutors asked a judge for time so their own doctor to conduct an evaluation.

Just after being convicted earlier this year, Coleman was hospitalized after investigators say he jammed cotton balls soaked in ether up his nose.

Coleman’s sentencing has been rescheduled for Nov. 5. He faces up to 25 years in jail.
