Police take man's walking stick after aggravated assault charge | Crime
(WMC-TV) - A Cordova man may be having a hard time getting around today after police confiscated his walking stick as part of an investigation into an alleged aggravated assault.
Officers were called to a home in the 1300 block of Sawmill Creek Lane Tuesday by a woman who said her husband was threatening her.
The alleged victim said she spent the previous night at her mother's house and that her husband, Marvin Adams, became angry when she returned home.
She told officers Adams threatened her with his walking stick, and even told her he would kill her if she called police. Adams said that he could get away with her murder because he was "on medication," according to court records.
Adams has been charged with aggravated assault.
