Memphis man arrested for robbing Good Samaritan
Crime

MEMPHIS, TN- (WMC-TV) – An 18-year-old has been charged aggravated kidnapping and robbery after police say he held up an acquaintance who stopped to offer him a ride.

Police say the victim, Jeffery Moore, was driving near Macon and Greenbrook last month when he saw a man he knew walking with a friend.

Moore stopped and offered Robert Boddie and the second man a lift, but police say Moore's kindness wasn't repaid.

Boddie, who was sitting in the car's backseat, pulled out a gun and held it to Moore's head while the other man rifled through the victim's pockets, according to court records.

Officers say the men drove to an ATM and withdrew $200 from Moore's account. They're also accused of using his credit card to make purchases at a Cordova Walmart.

Boddie is behind bars on $500,000 bond. The second man isn't in custody.
