Every year, yard sale bargain hunters flock to Cordova, Tennessee for the annual Countrywood Neighborhood Sale sponsored by the Countrywood Neighborhood Association.

On Friday, September 22, the huge yard event will draw crowds from all over the Greater Memphis area and from neighboring states.

Last year the sale was a huge success.  More than 200 residents participated

Rain or shine, the participating vendors will sell their almost brand new or slightly used items from furniture to clothing and televisions to motorized vehicles to make a buck.  Not to mention the local economy benefited as people booked hotel rooms for a few days to stay and visit the grand city of Memphis to shop it’s local stores and dine in local restaurants.

1. What if it rains? Bring an umbrella. The sale will go on rain or shine.
2.Where is Countrywood and how do I get there? Countrywood is located in Cordova, TN near the Wolfchase Galleria Mall.  
3. How do I sign up to participate? The sale is solely intended for those residing in the Countrywood neighborhood.
4. What hours are people open? Most open at sunrise, but hours are different for each house. It is similar to going trick or treat-ing and visiting people’s houses for candy. You don’t visit the house unless the porch light is on. For this sale and for the courtesy of the residents, do not show up with flashlights and try to shop before there is enough light to see. The Countrywood residents have been encouraged not to allow people to shop until enough light is present.
