Run to support Project CARE this weekend |

Warm up your muscles and put on your running shoes.  It is time for the MLGW Race to CARE 5K Run/Walk.

The race begins at 9 a.m. Saturday on the Chickasaw Trail at Shelby Farms Park.  Not registered yet?  No problem.  Get there at 7:45 a.m. with $20 in hand to register for the event.

Money raised at the 5K will help pay for minor energy efficiency improvement projects that are done through Project CARE.

Project CARE is a program designed to help MGLW customers reduce their energy consumption by making minor home repairs, like fixing broken windows and water leaks.

All donations that are made to the 5K are tax deductible.

It is sponsored by MLGW, Metropolitan Inter-faith Assocation, TVA, Smoothie King, ServiceMaster Clean and Start-to-Finish Event Management.

Runners will not walk away empty handed.  Each participant will receive a free energy conservation kid valued at $50 from the Tennessee Value Authority.
